Loving our neighbour as ourself
A day retreat at Penhurst, East Sussex
Saturday 29 October 2016
speaker: Peter Parr
If God is Love, and if we were created in the image and likeness of God, then Love is our natural state of being. How can we be channels of God’s Love in the world? What does it mean to ‘Love our neighbour as our self’ and how can we respond to that call? What would be the implications if we laid aside our judgements and saw one another as Jesus saw us? How can we learn to let go of our ego-self and come to know this Greater Self?
This guided retreat will provide an opportunity to explore these questions, through a mixture of small group sharing and facilitator input. There will be quiet time for reflection and for listening for the promptings of Love in our hearts.
