Flourishing: Life in all Its FullnessA day retreat at Penhurst Retreat Centre, East Sussex
Saturday 9 October 2021 Facilitated by Heather-Jane Ozanne and Peter Parr During this quiet retreat we will use insights from Biblical wisdom, the life and teachings of Jesus and Positive Psychology to explore our theme. We will use creative approaches to reflect on the imagery of the 'True Vine' (John 15) and the link between fruitfulness and flourishing. We will be encouraging stillness to provide space for reflection. There will be periods for personal reflection and group sharing. To book, visit the Penhurst web-site. PREVIOUS EVENTSAnswering that of God: Looking with the Eyes of LoveOnline course hosted by Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre
Wednesday evenings in April 2021, 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Facilitated by James McCarthy and Peter Parr What do we mean when, as Quakers, we speak of ‘that of God’? What would be the implications if we held an awareness of the Eternal in everyone all of the time? How can we live out this belief in our relationships and encounters with other people? This course will provide an opportunity to explore these questions through a combination of facilitator input and time for sharing and listening. It provides an opportunity for us to focus on That which is Eternal; on a higher truth which, when acknowledged, can help us respond in a loving, non-reactionary, way to challenges in our personal lives and in the world. Individual reflection between sessions will be encouraged. |
